Natural Black gets personal on new single

Recording artiste Natural Black believes that he has a potential hit on his hands, with his upcoming new single titled Hard To Stay Away, which is scheduled to be released today.

"This track is really about my own life. It is really hard to stay away from the one you love. It is very relatable," the artiste stated. This was the first time he was working with Sekou, who is one of the top producers from their community of Bedward Gardens, St Andrew.

"With this song, I'm going for Billboard and going for the Grammy but I want to put in the work so people can feel the energy. We want them 'full hundred'. They are making it seem as if there is no love but I want the world to know that there are still people like Natural Black and Sekou who are still focused on the love," he said. The accompanying music video, which was shot in the hills of St Andrew and Portland, will be released after the song.

Originally from Guyana, Natural Black has been in Jamaica for the past two decades, spurred by his love of reggae music. Over the course of his career, Natural Black is a name that has become synonymous with hits, having released some memorable songs throughout the years. Some of his most popular releases are Far From Reality, Never Leave You Lonely and There Is A Place.

"The type of music that I create is a new level of reggae. I'm known for reggae, just an addition with a different style, more melodies," the artiste said. "This project might lead to an album, [and] touring. Let's see where it goes."
