Multi-award winning psalmist Lisa Grace Harris recently released a new album titled Strong Tower.

She said that the 11-song project showcases different genres, including contemporary, reggae, zouk, and calypso.

"The mix reflects my wide interest in music generally and is indicative of the rich Caribbean culture that has influenced me musically," the artiste said.

Given the current challenges facing mankind, with incidences of war, economic distress and social unrest, the album's title was selected to reflect the need for a refuge, anchor and saviour.

"My overall hope for the project is that it will be successful in terms of reaching and blessing a huge global audience as well as profiling and introducing Caribbean music to the global community. I want Lisa Grace Harris to be a recognised artiste known for high quality musical productions, financially successful, so as to provide a base and foundation for future projects," she said.

Since its release, the album has received much positive feedback. The title track has attracted wide listenership and has won a number of awards from well-known music houses such as the Gospel Choice Music Awards, The Antigua and Barbuda Gospel Music and Media Awards and The Hip Hop Awards.

Hailing from Reach district in Portland, Harris has been involved in music for as long as she can remember, having sung in church and school. Her professional career spans 18 years.

"Eclectic and diverse is how I would describe my style. My interest in music is not restricted to a particular genre. I love and am fascinated by many genres and this is also reflected in the musical variety of this album," she said.

As a woman of many talents, Harris is also the owner and manager of the restaurant Gefsi, which offers authentic Jamaican cuisine in Antigua and Barbuda. She tries to balance her business with her music.

"I've already started and even completed a number of songs for my next production. Also, don't be surprised if you hear me touring. That is a distinct possibility," she said.
