At the height of the pandemic, Ras Slick said that he released the song One More Chance as he was in a dark place.

Like many in the artistic community, he felt robbed of his livelihood and ability to entertain.

"I wrote One More Chance so listeners could feel what I was going through during the pandemic. So grateful that I was prayerful and patient just like my fans dem," said Ras Slick. The singer declared in the single, which was released in 2021, that he needed just 'one more chance' to perform on stages and fast forward to 2022, the chance is now. He has been billed to perform at the DC World Reggae Festival, which is scheduled for August 20-21, on the grounds of RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. He joins an amazing line-up which includes artistes like Beres Hammond, Third World, Beenie Man, Chronixx, Rupee and Kerwin Dubois. This is a second time around for Ras Slick, as he appeared on the festival's inaugural staging in 2018.

One More Chance marked his return after months of inactivity and now he is ready to go further.

"A light has been sparked," said Ras Slick, "New music and performances will keep the masses wildly entertained." Hailing from Westmoreland, Ras Slick has solidified his footing in music and entertainment. The creative is also a songwriter, producer and owner of My Time Studio. Much to his credit, the studio is a popular recording and rehearsal home for numerous international acts. His previous releases include God is Good To Me, Shackles and Chains, Zone and Good Thing.
