Five years ago reggae artiste Jahdon got national recognition with his song Congo Bongo and has maintained a positive consistency despite the complexities of building a grassroots brand.

He recently released his sophomore album I, which was executive produced by his daughter through his label Look Ya Noww Entertainment, and distributed by Tuff Gong International.

It features the single, Family Man, featuring world-renowned saxophonist Dean Fraser. This project has received excellent reviews from music personnel locally and internationally. Popular reggae blog World A Reggae reviewed it as a "10-course meal".

This Saturday, there will be a celebration of the I album at High Tension Sound System HQ, Old Harbour Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine. Hosted by radio veteran Elise Kelly, the showcase will feature some of the most talented artistes on the island including Natty King, Nature Ellis, DMedz and Wormbass. Jahdon said that the album celebration is very important.

"It's humbling to produce a body of work like this that is getting positive review from international and local players of music. July 16 we want to use this opportunity to create a platform for artists to also celebrate their own accomplishment," said Jahdon.
