Ikaya collaborates with Dexta Daps on ‘General’ remix

Dancehall stars Ikaya and Dexta Daps, who collaborated on the raunchy single Nosey Neighbour in 2021, have kicked things up a notch on the remix of the single General.

"It's obvious that Dexta and I have a natural chemistry when we record together. This is the third time we've recorded together. We did a song a few years ago that wasn't released. However, last year we recorded Nosey Neighbour which did very well. Now we've teamed up on this remix and it's pure excitement," said Ikaya. "The General remix was released two weeks ago and the feedback has been great. The fans are giving it their full support. It has received over 250,000 hits on YouTube already."

Both the original version of General and the remix were produced by Charles Williston, aka Charles Sponge, for his Sponge Music label. Ikaya is currently doing the Vent x Owner tour with Dexta Daps which started last year.

"It's been a great experience with the fans showing us a lot of love everywhere that we've performed. We recently performed in Guyana and Barbados. Next month we're going to Canada, The Bahamas and St Maarten," she said.

Ikaya is also enjoying a huge buzz with another Sponge Music-produced single titled Tek Him, which has received over three million hits since it was released last year.
