Patrons who turned up to see dancehall deejay Tommy Lee Sparta perform at the first event in the Magnum Star Live series in Portland on Saturday night left the venue satisfied.

The deejay spent majority of the set spitting out 'bad man' tunes, including Godfather, Hero, Psycho, Buss a Blank and Shook. But just before exiting the stage the hardcore entertainer dedicated a couple songs to the female patrons.

A street dancer, who goes by the name Kerry Kitty Kay, was among those who left satisfied after Tommy Lee left the stage, positioned her, and performed Cyber Freak as she backed up on him.

"I have heard him perform a few times before and I enjoy dancing to his music so I was excited when he came off the stage to dance with me to my favourite song," Kerry Kitty Kay told The STAR.

Kaylon travelled from the nearby community of Boundbrook specifically to see Tommy Lee Sparta perform her favourite single, Spartan Soldier.

"The fashion, his dark style, is what brought me out here dressed the way I am dressed," she said.

Tommy Lee and selector Ricky Trooper were the star attractions at the show which was held at the Cristal Nightclub. The Sparta deejay loved the vibe and commented that "The response at Magnum Star Live in Portland was actually great."

Throughout his performance, the MoBay-born entertainer ensured that the patrons did not miss out on his vocal range and variety, which include a deep, bass tone and a ghostly screech.

"Is a Halloween type voice and me born in a dark time so that's how it come about," Tommy Lee Sparta told The STAR in an interview following his almost one-hour set.
