Man shot and killed in MoBay

Up to late last night, the St James police had still not made an arrest or established a motive for the early morning murder of a man in the parish yesterday.

Howard Bernard, 53, of Tower Hill in the parish was shot multiple times on Barnett Street at about 10:30 a.m.

The police say they were summoned after residents heard multiple gunshots in the area. On arrival, a bullet-riddled Bernard was found lying on the ground. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations into the shooting continue.
